no-reply -- the generic discussion list

About no-reply

This mailing list is for all the other things: the things that are unpretentious, irrelevant, or merely serene. In other words, worthless things.

It may NOT be used for important things, no, sir. An email mailing list is one of the oldest forms of online social network; as such, members must treat each other with mutual respect even in the face of disagreement. Omit needless words. Email is, by its very nature, an asynchronous protocol; do not expect an immediate reply to your submissions.

And NO cat photos.

Permitted topics: irony, arts & letters, cooking, theology, science, patristics, fiction (but NOT Ayn Rand), poetry, sculpture, painting, technology, loam, agriculture, phrenology, whisky, intangibles, covert actions of the United States (and other) governments, hair, current affairs, international relations, number theory, gigantism, xkcd, Risk Legacy, pottery, cooking, biography, hunting, gun control, gauge theory, music, ambient recording methodologies, the state of education in the world today, the Internet, potatoes, gaming, Reneé Descartes, medicine, zentangles, and grammar. Other topics may be considered.

Please note that this list is public and archived; anything you share here will be visible to Google, Bing, and the rest of the Internet. Be wise about what you post here.
